Tsuglagkhang Complex: The spiritual heart of the town. This serene complex houses the Dalai Lama’s private residence, the Tsuglagkhang Temple, and the Tibet Museum.
Namgyal Monastery: Located within the Tsuglagkhang Complex, it is the personal monastery of the 14th Dalai Lama.
Tushita Meditation Centre: A great spot to join drop-in meditation sessions or longer silent retreats.
Norbulingka Institute: Located a short drive away, this institute is dedicated to preserving traditional Tibetan arts like thangka painting and woodcarving

🥾 Adventure & Nature

Triund Trek: The most famous hike in the region. It’s a moderate 6–8 km trek starting from McLeod Ganj (or nearby Dharamkot) that rewards you with sweeping views of the Kangra Valley and the snowline.
Bhagsu Waterfall: A short, scenic hike from the Bhagsunath Temple leads to this 30-foot cascading waterfall. Grab a snack at the nearby Shiva Café.

The Momos & Bakery Scene: Indulge in authentic Tibetan treats like mutton/veg momos, thukpa, and unique sweets (yak cheese cake, carrot cake, and apple cinnamon rolls). Popular local spots include Zom Zom and Café Encontro.
Dharamkot: A short walk or taxi ride uphill from McLeod Ganj, this bohemian, foreigner-friendly village is packed with great cafes and bakeries.
Naddi Village: A quieter alternative to the bustling town center, offering incredible sunset viewpoints and cozy homestays.
